Maria Elia Galvan

San Diego, Texas - Maria Elia Galvan, 90 years old, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in a San Diego Nursing Home after a long illness. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed dancing and attending the San Diego Civic Center for the activities. Maria will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cosme and Maria Elena Sendejo Everett, and her husband, Arturo Galvan, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Jose Roland (Gracie) Galvan, four grandchildren, Joe Isaac Galvan, Ivan Galvan, Derick Galvan and John Houston, two great-grandchildren, Jalynn Grace Galvan and Joe Isaac Galvan Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel- San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at the San Diego Cemetery.
