It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Lorenzo Nino Garcia, who gained his wings and left peacefully on January 17, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on November 09, 1937, a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle and friend to many. Lorenzo touched many lives and loved his children and family with his kindness, wisdom and unconditional love. Without a formal degree, he was a self-taught engineer and builder of many things with his hands. He fashioned and designed several homes and taught those his trade and talent. He enjoyed western movies, music and dancing, working very hard was what he did most of his days.

Lorenzo’s memory and legacy will live forever. Those who cherished him knew his love and devotion to his family and friends. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow. 

He is preceded by his father Lorenzo Garcia, mother Maria Nino, and brother Lupe N. Garcia.

He is survived by his two brothers; Laurence Garcia (Angeline) and Andy Garcia (Belma), his seven children; Lorenzo Amando Garcia, Nilda Hinojosa (Rene), Roel Garcia (Monalisa), Annabel Price, Irene Richerson (Steven), Gloria Escobedo (late-Alex), Cynthia Contreras (Danny), nineteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and two nephews Lupe Garcia, & Ralph Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home-Chapel in San Diego, Texas. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. that same morning.  All services will conclude that same afternoon.
