 San Diego, Texas – Liliane J.H. Lefebvre Garcia, 93, of San Diego, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Liliane was born to Henri Lefebvre and Jeanne Reignoux in Saint Quentin, France on December 13th.
Liliane, a woman of French origin, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion. She arrived in the United States at the age of 24, carrying her baby in her arms and the memories of a Europe marked by war, a loving family, and a father who adored her. Though born far away, Liliane embraced the language, customs, and warmth of a land that was not originally hers. With quiet strength, she transformed her life as a young woman from a well-to-do French background into that of a wife and a mother in San Diego, Texas where she built a home alongside the love of her life, Ambrocio (Bocho) Garcia Jr. Together they lovingly raised their children, Henri, Elizabeth, Michael, Veronica, and Marie Jeane watching them grow, find their paths, and eventually leave the nest, with unwavering love. Liliane was a woman of deep faith and constancy. Every morning for many years, she prayed the Rosary with devotion. Each mystery was dedicated to one of her children, a quiet plea for his protection in their lives. Throughout her life, she endured many losses, yet never let grief overshadow her capacity to love. Those who knew her will remember her for her serenity, her generous spirit, and her unshakable faith. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those who had the privilege of walking part of life’s path with her. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” – 2Timothy 4:7 With love and gratitude, her family honors her life and the light she brought into theirs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrocio (Bocho) Garcia Jr.; her parents, Henri Lefebvre and Jeane Reignoux; her siblings, Henri Lefebvre, Monique Padilla, Jean – Pierre Lefebvre, Francine Celli; her in laws, Ambrocio Garcia Sr. and Sofia Bazan Garcia, Juan Gilberto and Mary Garcia, Hector and Sylvia Garcia, Viola Garcia, and Norma Vasquez. Survived by her children, Henri (Rosie) Garcia, Elizabeth (Joseph) Dominguez, Michael (Clementina) Garcia, Veronica Garcia, Marie Jeane (Curtis) Richard; grandchildren, Henri, Mark, Michelle, Jennifer, Michael, Gabriella; great grandchildren, Eric, Adam, Ashton, Taylor, Lizabelle, Mathilde; her siblings, Michelle Arnaud, Renee Lasne, Bernard Lefebvre, Bernadette Lefebvre; in laws, O.B. Garcia, Oscar (Yolanda) Garcia and many nieces, nephews including her special nephew Hervé Le Brun. During the past year, she was blessed to have been cared for by her children and some extraordinary caregivers, Maria, Vero, and Lupita. Del Cielo Home Health Care and Hospice were at our side providing excellent care and support. Visitation will begin on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego.
