In Loving Memory of Juan Antonio Gonzalez Jr.
Beloved Husband, Father, and Friend July 26, 1981 – July 7, 2025 Juan Antonio Gonzalez Jr., a devoted husband, loving father, caring brother, and cherished friend, passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 43. He left this world surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Juan was born on July 26, 1981, in Corpus Christi, Tx to Juan Antonio and San Juanita Gonzalez. Juan was a proud and faithful husband for 24 beautiful years. Their love was a true partnership—built on deep friendship, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they created a strong and loving family, raising four wonderful children. Juan was a deeply devoted father who poured his heart into parenting. He took pride in guiding, supporting, and laughing with his children, always leading with love, patience, and humor. Family was the center of Juan’s life. He believed that the greatest success was found in the time spent with loved ones. Whether it was quiet mornings fishing, evenings filled with music and laughter, or spontaneous jokes and storytelling with his kids, Juan found pure joy in the everyday moments. He especially cherished the time he spent with his wife, Elizabeth, his lifelong companion and best friend. Juan dedicated much of his life to the oil field industry. He began his career as a coil tubing operator, where his hard work and commitment earned him the respect of many. Rising through the ranks to become a coil tubing supervisor, he was later invited to serve as a completion’s consultant for EOG—an acknowledgment of his integrity, leadership, and deep knowledge of his craft. He was admired not only for his professional skill, but for the way he treated others—with fairness, humility, and steady confidence. Outside of work, Juan had a passion for the simple joys of life. His laughter was unforgettable, his stories rich with personality, and his presence reassuring all who knew him. Juan leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear. His life was a testament to the power of hard work, the joy of fatherhood, and the beauty of a life lived with heart. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his wife, his children, and by all who were blessed to know him. His memory will live on—in stories told, lessons remembered, and love that never fades. Juan Antonio was preceded in death by his father, mother, mother-in law, Angelica Elizardo and nephew Jeremiah Reyes. He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Gonzalez; his children, Kristen Diana, Elias Rey (Jenna), Izak Matheiu (Madison), and Isaias Antonio Gonzalez from Refugio, Texas; his siblings, Jo Anna (Leroy) Espinoza, Richard (Monica), Gonzalez, Joe (Angie) Gonzalez, Patricia (Gilbert) Zapata, and Debra (J.M.) Benavides, and numerous nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers: Calistro Elizardo, Nazario Cruz, Antonio Hampton, Elijah Espinoza, Ezequiel Espinoza, Richard Gonzalez Jr., Michael Gonzalez, and Isaias Gonzalez. Honorary Pallbearers: Rosalinda Da Ace Hampton, Jennifer “Mija” Elizardo, Ayden Gonzalez, Kyle Gonzalez, Miguel Trevino, Caleb Zapata, and Gilbert Zapata III. Visitation will begin on Monday, July 14, 2025 @ 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home- Chapel – Alice, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home- Chapel- Alice, Texas. Burial will follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery, Alice, Texas. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes, Inc. entrusted with the arrangements.
