Erika “Love” Garcia, 53 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 3, 1972, to Rosalinda Gonzalez and Arnulfo Garcia. Erika was a loving mother who was truly a mother to all. Her heart was generous, her spirit joyful, and her presence unforgettable. She had a deep love for gardening and found peace spending her days surrounded by her beloved dogs. Music brought her joy, and she loved to dance in moments where rhythm met eternal happiness. Erika had a passion for all sports and never missed the opportunity to travel and support her nieces’ and grandchildren’s sporting events. Her love for the game and for her family was unwavering. Her words, “See you on the court,” will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Erika is survived by her loving daughters, Tia Shae Cardona and Taya Jade Cardona (Javier Cantu); her father, Arnulfo Garcia; her mother and stepfather, Rosalinda and Robert Scales; her grandmother, Mary Creager Rangel; her only sister, Issa LeBlanc (Nickel); her boyfriend, David Rodriguez; and her most prized possessions, her cherished granddaughters, Trinity Nevaeh Gomez (“Piglet”) and Raelynn Hinojosa (“Peppa”). She also leaves behind her beloved nieces, Naima LeBlanc and Neriah LeBlanc, along with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Federico and Dora Gonzalez. Garcia Funeral Home San Diego, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service conducted by San Diego Family Worship Center Church will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home- San Diego. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery No.2

Atria Valley View offered a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of shared spaces for residents to enjoy. Staff were knowledgeable and genuinely attentive during our tour. The community felt active without being overwhelming. It seemed like a good balance of social engagement and support.
