Efrain Lopez Martinez

​San Diego, Texas - Efrain Lopez Martinez, 87 years of age passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in a Corpus Christi Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Efrain worked for Edwards Furniture Company for a few years and worked for Duval County Precinct #3 where he retired after many years. He loved spending time at the ranch. He took pride in his grandchildren, loved music, BBQing, and spending time with his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Matilde and San Juanita Martinez, his loving wife, Minerva J. Martinez, one daughter; Umbelina T. Gallegos, two sisters; Emma Sanchez, Zulema (John†) Norman, two brothers; George (Celina†) Martinez, Alejandro “Cano” (Benita†) Martinez, and one brother-in-law; Jose Pena.

He is survived by his three sons; David (Luanna) Martinez, Adan (Lisa) Martinez Sr., Efrain (Raylene) Martinez Jr., one daughter; Cynthia Yvette Martinez, two brothers; Matilde (Rosie) Martinez, Raul Martinez, one sister; Angelina Pena, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Active Pallbearers: Anthony Martinez, Adan Martinez Jr., Mark Martinez, Jakob Martinez, Eric Martinez, and Cody Martinez.

The family would like to thank Windsor Nursing Home in San Diego, and Fresenius Kidney Care in Alice, Texas for their wonderful care and services.

Visitation will begin on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego. Burial to follow at the San Diego Cemetery #2 in San Diego.
