Alice, Texas - Dominga Rodriquez, 91, of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. She was born to Leandro and Maria Estrada on November 4, 1934, in Alice, Texas, and lived a long, full life surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Dominga was a devoted mother to all her children.
Dominga was known for her funny sense of humor, strength, and her big heart. Dominga cared immensely for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always looking out for them, offering love, guidance, and plenty of laughter. Her family will forever remember her jokes, her warmth, and her way of lighting up a room. Dominga enjoyed watching her favorite talk show, Laura, and never failed to chime in while watching it, making her smile. Years ago, she owned and operated a well-known local bar in Baytown called “La Movida”, a place cherished by her family and friends and remembered fondly by many. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family. A legacy that will continue through all who were blessed to know and love her. Dominga will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her two sons, Ricky Torres, Jr, Armando Hernandez; four daughters, Diana Martinez, Maria Hernandez, Elvia Reyes, Melissa Hernandez; a brother, Hector Estrada; two sisters, Maria E. Estrada, Ernestina Estrada; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ramon Hernandez; her parents, Leandro and Maria Estrada; her children Ludivina Espinoza, Duvelsa Hernandez-Reyes, Ramon Hernandez Jr., and Ruben (Ben) M. Rodriquez; four brothers, Manuel Estrada, Candelario (Tillie) Estrada, Ignacio Estrada, Leandro Estrada; two sisters, Margarita Cardon, and Tomasita (Jesus) Vasquez. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice, Texas at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Alice. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery. Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Homes entrusted with arrangements.
