David S. Treviño, age 79, of La Rosita Texas, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and quiet strength that will never be forgotten. David was born on November 8, 1945. Throughout his life; he was known for his unwavering love for family and friends. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back, always ready with a kind word, a helping hand, or a listening ear. He dedicated himself to working on his ranch with his animals, but his proudest role was always that of a father, husband, and grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with family—whether it was sharing meals, telling stories, or simply being together at the ranch. David had a gift for making others feel seen and valued. He loved his family, his animals, being around the ranch, and had a deep passion for 18 wheelers and retired after many years on the road. His laughter was infectious, and his kindness touched so many lives. He is survived by Rosalinda Trevino the mother of their 3 sons Jose (wife Alma) Trevino, Abraham David Trevino, and, Robert Trevino. David is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. David is now reunited with his parents Abraham and Christina Trevino, and his brother Simon B. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he is gone from our sight, his love remains with us always. Active Pallbearers: Manuel Salazar, David Salazar, Sam Pena, Edward Ayalay, Rene Gonzalez, Roland Medrano, and Hector Salazar. Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home - San Diego, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00am at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home- San Diego. Burial to take place at Peña Cemetery in La Rosita, community.
