Benavides Texas: Sijifredo Barrera 86 passed away on December 26, 2017. He served during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed dancing, barbecuing, music, and spending time with family and friends. Sijifredo loved to travel and enjoyed different places. He was a Parishioner of Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Concepcion and Eulalia Barrera, sister Artemia Valdez of San Diego, brother Adan Barrera of San Antonio. He is survived by one son, Sijifredo Barrera Jr., of Falfurrias, Texas, one daughter, Marie Frances Torres, of California, one sister Sylvia (Ventura) Flores, of Corpus Christi and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday Jan. 2, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. that evening. Emma H. Camarillo 101 years of age passed away on December 24, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. Emma was a homemaker and a great cook, baker, gardener, and seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and a great grandmother to all. She prayed her rosary everyday and helped raise several nieces and nephews. No one ever left her home without the daily blessing,a song, and a cup of coffee.
