Alice, Texas - Elma E. Girodengo, 83 years old passed Friday, October 27, 2017 in an Alice hospital after a short illness. She was graduate of San Diego ISD and graduate of TWU in Denton, Texas in 1959. She taught at Brackenridge High School for two years and at Memorial Middle School for ten years. She later retired from Christian Jew Foundation in San Antonio after thirty years of service. Elma enjoyed traveling and reading and was a loving daughter, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bartolo and Maria Vela Girodengo, two-half sisters, Ofelia G. Garza and Berta Shulz and one- half brother, Victor Manuel Girodengo. She is survived by her sister, Edna G. (Manuel P.) Molina of Alice, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 9 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed with Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery in Alice. San Diego-Leopoldo G. "Polo" Villarreal Sr., 67 years old passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 after a sudden illness. He was a graduate of SDISD Class of 1969, and a graduate of Del Mar College as a Welder. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his father, Santana Villarreal, one grandson Ryan Villarreal. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Maria L. Rodriguez) Diaz, of San Diego, 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that same evening at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home San Diego. Salinas, brothers Ricardo, Reymundo, Rogelio, Arnoldo and Mario Salinas, sister Martina S. Cantu, sons in law Rudy Ibanez and Rudy Munoz.
