San Diego- Tomas F. Alaniz, 84 years of age passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 after a long illness. He was a retired Truck Driver for Lone Star, Pearl and Budweiser Company. He is preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Julia Alaniz, one son Jose Alfredo Alaniz, one daughter Betty Cantu and one sister, Zenaida Alaniz. Survivors include his wife, Lillian M. Alaniz, San Diego, Texas, two sons, Tomas Alaniz, Jr and Michael Lee (Amy) Alaniz, both of Freer, Texas, three daughters, Annabell (Jose Jimenez) Casso, Benavides, Texas, Nancy (Adolfo) Sanchez, Alice, Texas, Priscilla Alaniz, San Diego, Texas, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday, October 1, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home-San Diego, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m., Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Benavides- David Homero Carrillo 77 years of age passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 after a long illness. David was a graduate of Benavides High School Class of 1960. He graduated with an associates degree in Court Reporting from Lipperts Business College. David was a court reporter, rancher and an avid horse lover and trainer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents who raised him David C. Chapa and Emma P. Carrillo, his parents, Evangelina G. Carrillo and Oscar Carrillo Sr., his son David Carrillo, one brother Oscar R. Carrillo and two sisters, Adriana C. Terry and Lucinda C. Gonzales. Survivors include his wife, Palmira G. Carrillo, Benavides, Texas, three daughters, Sheila (Jerry) Collazo, San Antonio, Texas, Patty (Jay) Yzaguirre, Benavides, Texas and Delisa Marie Carrillo, San Antonio, Texas., four grandchildren, Jacob R. Collazo, Jeffrey R. Collazo, Gabriela Yzaguirre and Claudia Mogas, two great-grandchildren Alayna and Gianna. In addition there were two sisters who were involved with his care Ludiviana C. Benavides, Hebbronville, Texas and Rebecca A. Carrillo, Benavides, Texas. Pallbearers: Jacob R. Collazo, Jeffrey R. Collazo, Daniel Ramirez, John Benavides, Miguel Gutierrez, Arnoldo Carrillo. Honorary Pallbearer: Rogelio (Lito) Guajardo. Visitation will begin on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home-San Diego from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening. Worked for the Corpus Christi Army Depot for many years and for the Napa store in San Diego. Enrique was the first state certified Jailer for the Duval County Sheriffs Dept. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents Enrique B. Perez and Anita Vega, and one brother Enrique Perez. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carlotta S. Perez of San Diego, his daughter Anita G. Anguiano and his son in law Rupert Anguiano of Hutto, Texas, two sons Adrian T. (Sylviana) Perez of San Diego, and Richard P. (Diana) Perez of Granada Hills, California. Three brothers Roel (Gloria) Perez, Omar (Sarita) Perez, Eloy Perez all of San Diego, three sisters Alma (Abel) Valdez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Angie (Robert) Galle of Beeville, Texas, Anna Norma (Homer) Zuniga of El Paso, Texas, six grandchildren Alyssa Anguiano, Aric Anguiano, Adrian T. Perez Jr., Tabitha Rodriguez, Zachary Perez and Daniel Perez. Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church.
