San Diego, Texas: Delia C. Salinas 75, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at her residence in San Diego, Texas. Delia was a Homemaker most of her life and enjoyed taking care of her family and was an outstanding cook. Her kitchen was always open to her family and friends. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and great-aunt and her pleasure in life was to spend quality time with her son. She also loved to work in her yard and decorate for different occasions. She would not let you leave her home without a blessing to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael Salinas Sr. and Vicenta C. Salinas, one sister Martina S. Cantu, brothers Mario C. Salinas, Arnoldo C. Salinas, Rogelio C. Salinas, Rafael G. Salinas, Reymundo G. Salinas, and Ricardo G. Salinas, sister in law Josefa Salinas. She is survived by her son Arnoldo Salinas, two brothers Servando C. Salinas of San Diego, Juan Carlos Salinas Sr. of Alice, two sisters Corina C. Salinas of San Diego, Leocadia Morgan of Orange Grove, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Saul O. Salinas, Javier O. Salinas, Ramon R. Salinas, Juan C. Salinas, Jr., Kenneth Salinas and Erasmo Cantu. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2020 to begin at 4 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that same evening at Mauro P. San Diego, Texas: Josefa M. "Pepita" Martinez, 92 years old passed away at her daughters residence in Edinburg, Texas on May 25, 2020. Pepita was the 1973 Football Sweetheart at San Diego High. She was very popular amongst her student body, she graduated and was hired to work for SDISD as an office clerk. She worked many years and retired from the school district. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She will be sadly missed by everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Julia Garcia Moreno, her husband Juan Fernando Martinez, a step daughter Mercedes Villarreal, 3 sisters Maria Del Carmen Allen, Maria Luisa Kufus, Julia Moreno, 1 brother Carlos Gilberto Moreno. She is survived by her son Ruben Rolando Valadez, her daughter Nelda (Arnoldo) Leal, five grandchildren Vickie Valadez, Jessica D. She was a native of San Diego, a graduate of San Diego High School Class of 1958, a graduate of Texas A&I Kingsville, and was a retired school teacher after many years of teaching. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Gonzalez, Sr. and Maria Hernandez Gonzalez and her husband, Arnulfo Valadez. Mrs. Teresa Diana Couling, 60 years old, known as Diana Couling was born July 16 ,1959 in Kingsville, Texas. She was a strong servant of God, a wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many people. She attended Coastal Bend College in Alice, Texas where she received her Associates Degree. Throughout her life she was a home healthcare worker but in most recent years was a stay at home wife. She was always helping others in anyway she possibly could. She volunteered all her time to her church, San Diego Worship Center. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great grand children. She will be dearly missed by many but she is no longer suffering and walking the streets of gold with her pastor mother and sisters.
