Alice, Texas - Soila Lopez, 88 years old passed away Wednesday January 31, 2018 in a San Antonio hospital after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She will sadly be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro Pena, Sr. and Genoveva M. Pena, her husband Humberto Lopez, Sr., two brothers Herberto Pena and Manuel B. Pena and sister Dominga Garcia. She is survived by two sons Humberto Lopez, Jr. of Galveston, Texas and Joel (Becky) Lopez of Alice, Texas, two daughters Cynthia Lopez and Gracie Lopez both of Alice, Texas, two brothers Jose R. (Josie) Pena of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Pedro (Emma) Pena, Jr. of Alice, Texas, one sister Gumecinda (Guadalupe) Martinez of Alice, Texas, sister-in-law Mita Pena - California, four grandchildren Debbie Lopez, Amanda Lopez, Adan Lopez and Jose Salinas, one great-granddaughter Jayla Lopez, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Sunday February 4, 2018 at 12 noon - 4 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 1 p.m. that afternoon.
