Adolfo "Turkey"  Quintanilla Jr.

Adolfo “Turkey” Quintanilla, Jr., age 66, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, at his residence in San Diego, Texas. He was born on November 11, 1959, to Genoveva G. Quintanilla and Adolfo Quintanilla, Sr.

Adolfo, lovingly known as “Turkey,” was a devoted son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He cherished spending time outdoors with his family and friends, He was also known for his famous Tripas and tending to his roosters. A Dallas Cowboys fan, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the company of those he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo Quintanilla, Sr. and Genoveva G. Quintanilla; his brother, Jose Luis Quintanilla; his father-in-law, Ramiro C. Morin; his brothers-in-law, Ramiro Morin, Jr.

Adolfo is survived by his three sons: Adolfo Quintanilla III (Deandra), Jose Quintanilla (Amber), and Michael A. Quintanilla (†Jessica); and his three daughters: Amy Trevino (Troy), Jenny L. Harper (†Jervon), and Selena Ramirez (Gabriel), Mother of his children, Melissa Morin Quinatanilla,  his brothers, Eddie Quintanilla (Rosa Ann) and Neri Quintanilla (Marissa); his sisters, Clementina Q. Sanchez, Berta Q. Morin, Genoveva Q. (†Henry) Elizondo, Dora Munoz, and Noemi Resendez (Alonzo); 23 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter, Ray’Lynn Jennai Perez.

Adolfo also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Active Pallbearers: Adolfo Quintanilla III, Michael Quintanilla, Jose Quintanilla, Nere Quintanilla, Albert Casas, and Eli Trigo.

Honorary Pallbearers: Adrian Tunchez and Eddie Quintanilla.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Burial to follow at the San Diego Cemetery.

Es ist schön, Geschichten auszutauschen und gemeinsam zu lachen. Danach gehen wir oft nach Hause, um noch ein wenig Musik zu hören oder einen Film zu schauen.
