Ninfa "Nana" Lichtenberger 91 years of age passed away on April 15, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ninfa was a homemaker all of her life and the Heart of her family. She was a Loving "Nana" to her family and friends and loved cooking, sharing stories and most definitely enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends in her home. She will be sadly missed by everyone. Nana is preceded in death by her parents Conrado and Evangelina Lichtenberger, brothers Isauro, George, Leandro, Rogelio, Ruben, and Servando Lichtenberger, great-grandson Eric Miguel Galvan. Surviving are her daughters Rachel Salinas and Estella L. (Tony) Juarez both of San Diego, one brother Conrado "Lalo" Lichtenberger of San Diego, sisters San Juanita Vasquez of San Diego, and Nilda (Jose Arnoldo) Rivera of Corpus Christi, grandchildren Lela (Balde) Vasquez, Santana "Sonny" (Irene) Garcia Jr., Maria Brenda Alaniz, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers: John Broquet, Marcos “Marky” Vasquez, Ralph Lichtenberger, Roel Lichtenberger, Conrado “Third” Lichtenberger, Leandro Lichtenberger, Arturo Arriaga and Bryan Garcia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. San Diego, Texas: Eric Miguel Galvan 26 years old passed away April 5, 2019. He was a graduate of San Diego High School Class of 2011. He was presently employed by Superior Energy Services as a Tool Assembler for several years. Eric enjoyed spending time with his daughter, she was his pride and joy. His mom Brenda who he loved dearly was the light of his life. He enjoyed fishing with his friends, bird hunting, and barbequing with his family. He was the life of the party and always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him. Carlos C. Garcia, 70, passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 2, 2019. He was born in Alice, Texas in 1948. Carlos graduated from William Adams High School, Class of 1966. He worked in insurance sales for over 30 years all over South Texas.
Carlos was an active Catholic all his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a eucharist minister. While a member of St. Leo the Great in San Antonio, he was a visionary and organizer of many faith sharing groups and active in getting the community out to vote as well as encouraging members to become active in other community issues.
He is always remembered for his infectious smile, laughter and love of his six grandchildren; Benjamin, Jacob, Harlee, Ethan, Evan and Easton.
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents Benito Garcia and Emma (Casas) Garcia, his daughter Maricella R. Garcia, brother Armando C. Garcia (Norma), brother in-law David Chapa (Consuelo), and niece Amanda Rodriguez.
Carlos is survived by his three sons; Armando (Donna) of Centreville, Virginia, Carlos A. Garcia (Laurie) of Corpus Christi, and Gabriel C. Garcia (Jennifer) of Stanardsville, Virginia and his former wife Graciela Garcia of Corpus Christi, three sisters; Consuelo Chapa of Flower Mound, Anna Rodriguez (Kenneth) of Austin and Mary Benavides of Alice as well as two brothers Bennie Garcia (Hilda) of Pleasanton and Robert Garcia (Sylvia) of Alice.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of Alice 600 S. Wright St. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary 603 E. 5th St. in Alice, Tx and Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery. Mauro P. San Diego, Texas: Moises "Moy" Ruvalcaba Sr. passed away at his home on March 31, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was a Farmer and Rancher most of his life. He also worked in construction pouring concrete. He enjoyed playing cards and Bingo with his friends at the Real Civic Center in San Diego. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather- great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
